The lanterns are “ WIND & RAIN PROOF“.
The reservoirs are made of galvanized steel with a screw type wick holder. The wick/flame is adjusted with a
small screwdriver through a side hole in the wick holder. Lighting up is achieved with a long lighter or match.
Depending on reservoir size and lantern the burn time using Virago Lamp Oil is from 6 hours up to 60 hours.

These lanterns/lamps are available with either Bright White or Warm White LED’s depending on the effect,
ambiance or amount of light required. The ON time may be up to 18 hours when fully charged. In order to
function correctly and efficiently, solar lanterns must be kept at all times in full sun. These lanterns/lamps also
have a day night automatic setting.

These work from mains supply of 220V AC and have screw type E27 sockets for reliable connection.

Some lanterns use glass inserts but most now have an Acrylic tube. This is a more durable solution as the
breakage risk is minimal.

Virago Lanterns and Lamps are hand made from 1.2 mm mild steel. Hence very durable and strong.

The lanterns and lamps are available in a variety of finishes such as Powder Coating, Nickel/Brass/Copper plating,
varnished raw steel but the standard and most popular finish is “Rustic Rust” with clear sealer.
